560RPM Motors for BalanceBotOne!
He’s much more stable on carpet, and slightly more stable on hard floors. I’m now wondering about the maths in this caper, and whether faster motors would make him even more stable.
Next challenge is to bring the occasional flip-out into line, and add Bluetooth remote control. I’m going to attach a Bluetooth card and use it as a serial port to determine what’s happening during those flip-outs. And then switch over to sending controls from my phone or a PS3 controller or similar.
There’s also some camber being introduced as the main structural support so far is gaffa tape. I might add another plank to the axle to hold the motors more securely.
Now thinking about how to build BB2 – thinking much bigger motors, payload carrying capacity, FPV … we’ll see!
